Design takes the goals and ideas developed during the consultation process and creates a working model on paper. This is called a set of plan is broken down into sub-plans such as:

floor plans
framing plans
electrical plans
property layout
planting plants
details and construction drawings.

Some plans refer to the entire building or landscape while others refer to only a piece of the overall project. Plans can be either very simple or very complex. Ideally, the finished plan should have enough details for the contractor to be able to make a bid and complete the project to your satisfaction.

Management

In the project management phase, we help find contractors, negotiate contracts, and make sure the project is done as specified. We may also take the process one step farther.

With remodels and additions, we might:

select light fixtures
select colors and refine details

In the landscape we might:

refine the slope of the land,
select the stones being used,
select the trees that occupy important spots,
place the plants and rocks
add additional plants where needed.
